KCS 4-6-0 #361 - Kansas City Southern
Description:
Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in February of 1898, this 4-6-0 was originally Kansas City, Pittsburg & Gulf #361 but in 1900 became KCS #361. The loco lasted in service until being scrapped on June 12, 1940 in Pittsburgh, KS. Specs - class D5, 55" drivers, 180 psi, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 141,400 lb and tractive effort of 28,931 lb. No photographer was listed and the date is approximate. Thanks to Chuck Zeiler for helping to correct this listing.
