Title:
PRR 2411, AF-25, 1965
Description:
Winter. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 03 January 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2411 and #2415. Both were built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 2,400 horsepower each. #2411 is an AF-24 built in 1962. #2415 is an AF-24A built in 1963. They are about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge with an 81-car eastbound mixed-cargo freight train and caboose #477937. A portion of 9th Avenue is visible in the background.
