Tenderless Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) M-4 class 2-6-0 432 was sitting outside a building at the railroad’s
ALGIERS SHOPS
, just across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. The locomotive had been built by Cooke (2600) in November 1900 as the 972, was renumbered 432 in 1901 and was sold for scrap at Houston on 18 August 1953.
