Fairly nice roster shot of Canadian National 2-10-2 #4201 as it sat in the Turcot yard in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. . History - Built by Alco-Brooks, 1919 nee-BA #1101, sold to CN in 1928 and renumbered CN 4201, Steam locomotive.com states that "The B&A began to increase the speed of its freight service in the early 1920s and gradually took the 2-10-2s out of service because they were too slow." The class was sent to the Big Four in 1926 and then NYC in 1927 before he entire Z1 class was eventually sold to CN in 1928. This loco was renumbered 420 and lasted until being scrapped in February of 1957. Specs - Serial #60066, BA class Z1, CN class T-3-a, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure,27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 352,000 lb, tractive effort of 69,575 lb.
