Description:
Line up at Melide (Ticino) because closure of the southern Gotthard line due to a grain silo fire next to the main tracks. From left to right: A stranded Trenitalia ETR 610 (south to Milan), two TILO Class 524 (head turn to the north) and a stored Class 501 (waiting to turn back to Zurich) … and my trainspotting day was over.
