Description:
Originally identified as being built by Lima, thanks to the research efforts of Chuck Zeileer it has been correctly identified as an Alco-Schenectady 2-8-2 Mikado built in February of 1923.The loco served the NYC until retirement and scrapping in 1950. Thanks, Chuck, for your efforts! Specifics - serial #63705, class H-10a, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cyilinders, engine weight of 342,500 lb, tractive effort of 63,470 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximate date and location were used.
