Description:  Willamette Industries Inc double plug door boxcar at Punxsutawney, PA. Sept. 26th, 2013. Richard Louderback photo. This series of cars was built as combination door cars for UP in 1964, then rebuilt as double plug doors by UP in 1977~1978. Then went to Willamette Industries in 1990. Willamette Industries bought the Penntech Papers Inc paper mill in Johnsonburg, PA in 1990, and built a paper converting plant at Dubois, PA. Both plants are on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh RR. The small fleet of boxcars was bought take paper from the paper mill to the converting plant. After Weyerhaeuser acquired WI through a hostile takeover in 2002, it sold the paper mill and converting plant to Domtar in 2007.
