| Santa Fe GP9 2923 sits on the ready track at El Paso in Jan 1974 with a sister not far behind. The paint scheme may be recent but the rest of the scene- the black water tower with herald and sand house- go back many years. As for 2923, it would be rebuilt into a GP9U in 1978-79 and retired prior to the BNSF merger. |
