Casey Jones wreck site         
Early in the morning on April 30, 1900 at about this location going this same direction, Casey Jones' fireman, Sim Webb, saw the caboose of train #83 around the curve and bailed off the 382 somewhere around the creek bridge you see just ahead. The famous collision happened a few carlenghts past the bridge. If only that block signal right there would have been here then...
