Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3608, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during November of 1913 and retired in October of 1955 after 42 years of faithful service. Note that the main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. Raymond C. Laws Collection. |
