| MELROSE NM Sept 10 1983 -- Santa Fe SD45-2 5-60 leads a mixed freight with welded-rail cars toward the head end. Note dents in 5660s fuel tank. EMD built this unit in 1972. It was rebuilt to an SD45-2u, repainted to SPSF and renumbered to 7204 in March 1986. It returned to ATSF paint and was renumbered 5804 before Jan 1 1991. On Jan 8 2000 it became \NSF 6454. |
