Completed in 1887, the imposing Union Pacific passenger station looms large in Cheyenne, Wyomings downtown in October 1958. The station is built from blocks of sandstone quarried and transported from Ft. Collins, Colorado, and for years the building was the most grandiose structure on the UP west of Omaha.
