4883 -- the last operating NJT GG-1 to wear single-stripe PRR livery --- slips through the industrial scene at Harrison, New Jersey, on a rainy morning in 1983. Although shes battered and will be scrapped in 1986, this moment finds 4883 undaunted. Her consist is a solid train of PRR coaches Squint your eyes and it could be 1963, not 1983.. |
