This is the bridge that took the Western Maryland Railway out of Confluence east towards the mountains. It has found a second life as part of the Great Allegheny Passage bike/hike trail. Below it is the Casselman River. The speed lettering on these bridges is withering away a little bit more every year. Photograph it while you still can. |
