| This original NKP 511, renumbered later to #957, is another Brooks-Alco Mikado built in 8/1917 as a class H-5b. Twenty five were built and were extremely successful in the NKP service, setting the stage for demanding more Mikados for the railroad. Unfortunately it was sold for scrap on 8/20/61 to the Luntz Iron & Steel Co. This is another C.W. Burns photo. |
