Norfolk Southern local P86 (Spartanburg, SC to Union, SC) leaves the Hayne Yard headed for the "W" Line at Beaumont. Hayne Yard is named for former SC Governor and Senator Robert Hayne, who later became president of one of the Southern Railway's predecessors. Hayne is most well known for his political debates with the famous Senator, Daniel Webster, over State's Rights. |
