In this badly deteriorating photo is a shot of the 1924 Alco-Brooks locomotive with a long string of freight behind it. The G-2 class loco had 57" drivers and developed a respectable 225 pse boiler pressure for its 26"x32" cylinders. The engine weight tipped the scales at 503,000 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 103,529 lb. No photographer listed and the date in 1933 is an approximation. |
