| Typically, the push pull sets on Long Island ran with the power pack on the west end. This one seems to have gotten turned around, as the MP 15 providing train power is facing east, with GP 38-2 272 on the west end. The Stony Brook station is one of the more attractive stations on the island, surprisingly small considering it's adjacent to the SUNY Stony Brook campus, out of the photo to the left. |
