Amtrak 6 Departs Martinez         
A rather oddly arranged California Zephyr #6 departs Martinez behind P42DCs #118 and #193. Besides being rather short, this train had no baggage car and the observation/lounge car in the front right behind the locomotives.

Curt Beal General This is Amtrak's "new" way of running the long distance passenger trains. They want to eliminate the old baggage cars. But there has been an issue with the first passenger car picking up exhaust fumes from the engines in an arrangement like this. 3/24/2015 3:12:20 AM
