| Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, during mid-June of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engine #2225 and two other units whose numbers were not recorded. #2225 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are passing under four-track Signal Bridge #2397 with an eastbound mixed-cargo freight train on their way down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East. |
