Everyday. Here is the first of two successive original telephoto views that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 3 September 1965. Prominent here is PRR engine #7924, an ES-12 built by GM-EMD in November of 1957 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. It is pulling the five-car "Roaring Spring Local" under the southern end of the Union Street Bridge on its way through Hollidaysburg to the Altoona Yards. The cabin car is #477094. Photo taken near the eastern end of the PRR's Freight Station on South Juniata Street. |
