Here is an unusual switcher. This unit was one of 18 75-ton 650 HP units built by Canadian Locomotive Company in Kingston according to the Whitcomb Locomotive Works (Rochelle, IL) designs for the Canadian National ((CNR 7803-7820). By this time Whitcomb was a division of Baldwin Locomotive Works. Eventually this unit was sold to Rock Island. An unknown photographer took this slide. |
