| There are not many vestages of signal infrastructure remaining along the 6 miles of former Frederick Secondary that make up the Walkersville Southern, however the last 1/2 mile on the South End does provide a hint. I suspect the pole line provided power between two crossing signals for what today are Rt26 and Rt355. The cabnet was at the XC point between the two crossing blocks. I expect this perspective will change quite a bit in the next few years as a walking trail is planned to run parallel with the track in this area. /DL |
