| Seaboard Coast Line U36B 1776 was on a westbound (timetable SOUTH) Louisville & Nashville train just east of the L&N's GENTILLY YARD in New Orleans. The 1776 had lost the brass bell which had been mounted under its headlight, but still had the extra lights to illuminate its cab and hood. The train's other units were SCL GP38-2's 526 and 550. |
