Coal Power. Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Trenton, New Jersey, c. 1950. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8407, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Lima Locomotive Works during October of 1915 and retired in March of 1954 after 39 years of faithful service. The number of the curtained and trainphone-equipped N-5 caboose is not recorded. The date is an approximation. |
