Originally built by GE for the Soviet Union in 1946, the deal was cancelled due to eroding relations between the countries. Chicago South Shore & South Bend bought 3 of the units. This is the sole surviving operational Little Joe now protected at the Illinois Rwy Museum in Union, IL. The slide lists Hammond as the location but almost looks like Burnham yard across the border.
