| The power for M781 is tied down on the old N.C.& St.L. Columbia Branch trackage at Lewisburg. This line originally ran from a connection with the N.C.&St.L. at Decherd, TN to Columbia, TN. The section between Columbia and Lewisburg was abandoned in 1945 while the section between Decherd and Fayetteville hung on until the mid-80's. CSX uses the remaining few miles to serve the Berry Plastics facility on the east side of Lewisburg. |
