| Here's another view of the unique Missouri-Kansas-Texas home built inspection car #1045 as it takes a turn on a St Louis turntable. Built by the MKT shops from a 40' Pullman-Standard boxcar in 1973, it served the Katy until 1983. A complete history of the car is online at the Oklahoma Rwy Museum where it now resides. Funny how the large windows with the blinds and the painted "V" in front make it look like a face with eyes, eyebrows and a mouth! Larry R. Stiles |
