| Originally built as Lake Erie & Western #5551 by Baldwin in September of 1918, it slid onto the Nickel Plate roster in 1923 as NKP #597. The 2-8-2 Mikado served the NKP well until its sale to NdeM in January of 1946. It was renumbered NdeM #2213 and served the Mexican railroad well. Unknown photographer. |
