| Brand new F40PH 220 was on the front of the westbound SUNSET LIMITED in New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, ahead of SDP40F units 571 and 552. This was the first of at least four brand new F40’s which moved from the EMD plant near Chicago to Los Angeles via the PANAMA LIMITED and the SUNSET. The 220 was serial No. 757099-21, built in April 1976. |
