| At one time, there was discussion about restoring NYC 4-8-2 #3001 to active service. It is one of only two surviving NYC 4-8-2's left with the other one in the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, MO, near St Louis, MO. Haven't heard any updates in a long time. Does anyone know if the plans are still active about restoring this beauty??? |
