Looking West on the former CNJ Main Line, this is how the railroad looked before construction started in the Fall of 2006. You're looking at the bridge over Madison Avenue. Note the 'empty' northern Bay on this bridge-there is a similar Bay on the South side. This route was a 4-track main line and has been downsized to 2 tracks at this location--and there lies the key to the replacement plan. |
