Description:
Wearing a layer of weathering after several years of work in the GATX Lease pool, a GP38-2 speeds south in a UP mixed freight headi`g for nearby Miller Yard. Delivered to Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific as GP38-2 4323 in October 1976 and remaining with the carrier until the demise of The Rock in 1980. This.locomotive didn't sit for too long becoming Missouri Pacific 2161 then Union Pacific 2261 until being sold then leased back to UP but in GATX dress and back to 2161.
