Description:
Post card I bought at an antique store. On back of card: Conrail 1648 The only F-unit to be painted in Conrail blue, 1648 is on its first run in this color on a transfer run westbound out of Collinwood Yard July 26, 1976. Conrail 1648 (ex-PC/nee-NYC 1648) was the only F-unit to receive Conrail blue paint. She was later renumbered CR 1792 to avoid conflicting with an order of GP15-1s, and was retired 1/79. Date of photo approximate.
