After dropping off a cut of cars with TFM in Matamoros Mexico; BRG power returns light to the Port of Brownsville. The UP Brownsville line was abandoned in 2015 when a new rail line to Mexico opened up. The downtown trackage to the port would be abandoned later in 2003 when a new yard in Olmito opened up.
