Description:
KANSAS CITY KS Sept. 29 1979 -- The Pride of Armoudale, CRIP 999, poses only months before the Rock Island was to shut down. According to information from donsdepot.donrossgroup.net the unit was SW1 544 and "was built in July 1949, #7480. It was rebuilt at Silvis in January 1978 as slug 999 Pride of Armourdale. It was sold to Chrome Locomotive in February 1981."
