H-10s No. 8259 is in the lead, with H-9S [#3097] as helper.... Photo by Don Kehl; June 10, 1949." Both locomotives are 2-8-0 "Consolidateds." #8259 is an H-10S built by the American Locomotive Company in August of 1916 and retired in February of 1959. #3097 is an H-9S "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B in December of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in June of 1917, and retired in December of 1954.
